Jim Volk

All we can say is “wow… hearing is believing.” See Jim’s website for his performance schedule and reviews. www.jimvolk.com When he’s not performing, Jim teaches guitar (pick and finger style, electric and acoustic), bass and ukulele. Styles of music he teaches include but are not limited to: rock (all varieties), blues, folk/country, instrumental finger style, alternative and “whatever else is of interest to the student, it’s all good.”

He had formal musical and instrumental education early on and has been performing professionally for 30+ years. Jim is inspired by music from around the globe spanning quite a few centuries.

Teaching Philosophy: “Facilitating development of musical intuition as well as knowledge. The practice of fundamental principals that can be applied to any style of music, and oh yes, have fun with it; the balance of work and play make for the longest lasting success.”

Favorite Musicians: “Too vast and too varied to mention here, always discovering new ones.”
